A New System of Movement

Today, there are so many training programs promoting one technique over another. From p90x to Crossfit. The problem: These training methods are built for athletes not regular people who simply want to be healthy and live pain free.

  • Do you experience chronic back pain or other movement issues that feel, well, random?
  • Are you always searching for exercises to help you, but they don’t seem to work?
  • Are you getting worn out from too much physical activity and struggling with intense workouts that cause you injury?

We’ve written a new type of manual for a new way of thinking about movement. A system that promotes healthy, effortless motion, improves posture, decreases inflammation and pain, and ultimately promotes feeling better longer. A system to take you into old age free of unnecessary chronic pain.

Our system will connect the way you move to external and internal forces, like gravity and your psychological patterns. By creating aligned movement through this system, you will experience reduction in stress, chronic pain and anxiety.

Does that sound crazy? It’s not. We work with successful CEO’s, professional athletes and other high achievers, all of whom understand that human beings are complex systems. Our bodies are integrally tied to our environment and our psychology.

What we’ve developed is a holistic system of movement to help humans move better to live better. Welcome to the Psychology of Anatomy.

For us it’s about using gravity as a grounding force that increases personal stability. Doing this the right way creates a feeling of steadfastness, a connection to the planet, and promotes healthy relationships – a healthier relationship with yourself first and ultimately healthier relationships with others.

The Gravity Problem

Do you ever feel physically heavy or lethargic? Are you feeling scattered like you’re always grasping for something that isn’t there? You may have a gravity problem. You see, gravity isn’t actually the problem. Gravity is the gift the universe has given us that’s allowed us to even exist on earth. Our orientation to gravity, that’s where the issue lies.

The force of gravity, something humans on earth are always fighting is actually the thing that keeps us grounded, balanced and connected to our world. While we try and soar higher or reach for the stars, we forget that the very thing that keeps us down is the thing that gives us everything.

By acknowledging gravity, and orienting to it as part of how we move daily, we can access one of the only consistent forces in our lives. Orienting to gravity is not a new concept. Athletes have been doing it for ages. For mere mortals it’s not about slamming a basketball from the free throw line or vaulting 20 feet into the air. For us it’s about using gravity as a grounding force that increases our personal stability. Doing this the right way creates a feeling of steadfastness, a connection to the planet and promotes healthy relationships, a healthier relationship with yourself first and ultimately healthier relationships with others.

Orienting around gravity is one of the core teachings of our new manual for human movement and it’s something that once you learn, you will never unlearn. This life changing distinction is something you’ll benefit from for the rest of your life
